P4C For Children in the Outdoors

Philosophy for Children in the Outdoors

A  2 day Level 1 course in Philosophical Thinking for Children based in and around the natural world.

Engage learners through connecting to the natural environment. P4C develops pupil’s critical thinking and promotes reflective thinking through using high level questioning skills.

A fantastic tool to use across the curriculum to challenge pupil’s learning and improve confidence & self-esteem.

 Keynote: Katrice Horsley: National Storytelling Laureate

OLC welcomes Katrice Horsley to Beyond the Classroom 2014 to share her passion for storytelling through delivering the key-note address that will launch the outdoors as the place to learn and engage all.

Katrice’s keynote and workshops will build on the underpinning theme of the conference on embedding outdoor learning into new National Curriculum and the importance of communication. Through explaining why storytelling works as a powerful educational tool and how, in the external environment, it can be even more potent and filled with potential. She will share the theoretical underpinning that supports its uses as well as recent findings in neuroscience that shows we all make sense of our world through narrative.
