OLC welcomes Katrice Horsley to Beyond the Classroom 2014 to share her passion for storytelling through delivering the key-note address that will launch the outdoors as the place to learn and engage all.
Her keynote and workshops will build on the underpinning theme of the conference on embedding outdoor learning into new National Curriculum and the importance of communication. Through explaining why storytelling works as a powerful educational tool and how, in the external environment, it can be even more potent and filled with potential. She will share the theoretical underpinning that supports its uses as well as recent findings in neuroscience that shows we all make sense of our world through narrative.
